This Privacy Policy explains how SnapFast handles information when you use the app.

Summary

SnapFast is a fasting and food diary app. The app does not require an account, does not show ads, does not use tracking, and does not sell personal information.

Most app data is stored locally on your device, including:

  • food diary entries
  • saved food templates
  • fasting and nutrition goal settings
  • language preferences

Camera and Barcode Scanning

SnapFast may request access to your camera so you can scan food barcodes. Camera access is used only for barcode scanning inside the app. SnapFast does not store photos or video from your camera.

When you scan a barcode or enter a barcode manually, SnapFast sends the barcode to Open Food Facts at us.openfoodfacts.org to look up product and nutrition information. The request is used to retrieve food details such as product name, brand, serving size, calories, and nutrient information.

Open Food Facts may receive the barcode and standard network request information, such as your IP address and request metadata. Please review the Open Food Facts privacy information at https://world.openfoodfacts.org/privacy for details about how they handle requests.

Local Storage

SnapFast stores your food diary, food templates, nutrition goals, fasting settings, and app preferences on your device. This data is not uploaded to a SnapFast server.

If you delete the app, locally stored app data may be removed from your device according to iOS behavior.

Third-Party Services

SnapFast uses Open Food Facts for barcode-based food lookup:

  • Service: Open Food Facts
  • Domain: us.openfoodfacts.org
  • Purpose: looking up product and nutrition information from a scanned or manually entered barcode
  • Data sent by SnapFast: the barcode value needed for the lookup

SnapFast does not use third-party advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or tracking SDKs.

Tracking and Advertising

SnapFast does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. SnapFast does not use your data for advertising.

Children

SnapFast is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when the app changes. The updated version will be indicated by the "Last updated" date above.
